If you are a writer, you will have days/week/ a lifetime of having to motivate yourself! Being a writer is NOT easy. It is fulfilling, emancipating *insert other big passionate words here* but it is NOT easy to turn a free-spirited, passion into a job with deadlines and time bound responsibilities. Often I find myself in the following situations. Feel free to laugh at my plight:D
Expectation: Once I start writing, I will be unstoppable. Come rain, Come storm, come apocalypse I will be unperturbed.
Reality: Hello Internet! Maybe If I read some motivational quotes I will write better…but where do I find these groundbreaking quotes? Facebook! One stop destination for all things inspiring…erm.
Expectation: A Healthy body equals a healthy mind! I will be so consumed by work that eating healthy will not be as difficult!
Reality: GIVE ME CAFFEINE!!!! AND SUGAR!!!!NEED CHEESE!!
(a friend made this for me once. Go figure)
Expectation: I will wake up at 8 am with a new-found drive for writing!
Reality: 8:00 am: Snooze. 8:15 am: Snooze…12:30 pm …LUNCH BREAK!
Expectation: My professional life and personal life are completely disconnected. I do not bring my personal life to work!
Reality: “Once upon a time there was a horrible $%#$%@!! Enough said.
Expectation: My search history this month will reveal just how productive I have been!!
Reality: Browsing history
